A Chanote, or Nor Sor 4 Jor, is the strongest common form of land title and normally identifies surveyed boundaries and ownership capable of registration. Even with a Chanote, due diligence should check the current owner, encumbrances, mortgages, leases, servitudes, court orders, access and boundary alignment on the ground.
